AFC Bury - saw a fundraiser thing on a Rangers forum to be a club member, so signed up for that as I thought it was gash the way they had been treated.
AFC Wimbledon - shareholder to help them get back to their new ground after years of being stitched up.

Milton Keynes - want them to lose every game due to how the above were stitched up...
Special mention to Oldham - fantastic to see them languishing where they are after that blatant stitch up for the title all those years ago. Fantastic.

Re: Lower division clubs you like and dislike
Cambridge Utd as I moved up here many years ago
Charlton Athletic as I used to live in Woolwich and saw them when West Ham played away

When I was working I would always try and go to watch the local football team, at whatever level the game was.

In Europe was generally worth the effort but once I started taking contracts beyond the reach of mother's apron strings it became rather "challenging".

Indonesia, Dubai, Malaysia, Laos, Oman, Thailand & China all had local teams for me to follow but in those places I ended up in the bar within 15 minutes of kick-off, inevitably joined by one or more women who were certainly not there for the game being played on the pitch.

Wimbledon. Where I was born & brought up.

My brother & many mates of mine are all season ticket holders & have been for many many years. I go to 1 or 2 home games a season for a monsterous piss up with them. Very glad they are finally back at Plough Lane. They've had a real shit time of it but are eventually "back home"

Re: Lower division clubs you like and dislike
The only clubs results I look out for other than West Ham is Glasgow Rangers. But there are clubs I have a soft spot for various reasons.

Plymouth Argyle - A mate who’s a fan took me to a few of their away games and they’re fantastic supporters. Most southern club in the country and they travel everywhere in good numbers.

Charlton - Used to get freebies over there quite a bit as a mate worked for them. No issues with them whatsoever. They’re not rivals, they are anoraks.

Millwall. Our big derby. I hate and respect them equally. I can get on with a Wall fan in the way I can’t with an Arsenal or Spurs fan as I see us and them as the same, but two warring tribes.

Leyton Orient - Did everything to block our move to the London Stadium (wish they had), but supported Spurs bid citing they’d lose local supporters to us when the wankers from N17 were in the Champions League.

Loved the QPR team of the 70's and have liked them ever since.

Villa was always one of my favourite away days and have had a soft spot for them for years.

Like PB I have a grudging respect to go along with the intens dislike of our real rivals.

All the usual susoects on the shit list.

Re: Lower division clubs you like and dislike
Dislikes dirty Leeds and Millwall for obvious reasons

Likes Orient occasional visits as a kid when hammers were not playing, all pre-Barry Hearn. Been a couple of times about 10 years ago with a workmate who supports them and enjoyed it.

Charlton was my Godfather's team and again went occasionally as a kid. Enjoyed the trip on the Woolwich Ferry more than the football. My last visit a good few years back took my youngest daughter to a game there when she won tickets when she was at Kent Uni. Awful game against Bradford.

Wycombe Wanderers - Grandson plays for under 10s.

Newport County, remember their old ground when going past it by train, and the old rusted orange corrugated iron, that held the place together. Was glad when they got back in the league.

if Sunderland play Newcastle Utd, then I want the former to win, ditto WBA vs Brum or Villa, Pompey vs Southampton, but don't 'like' them as such, just favour them if their derby games are on.

As well as the obvious dislikes, Wigan Athletic, especially after them jumping in with Sheffield Utd over the Tevez stuff. Luton Town, artificial pitch AND ban on away fans. MK Dons.

Soft Spot (Geographical reasons)
Ipswich Town
Colchester United

Irrational dislike
Norwich (I think because see above)
Reading (Crappy team, but a bogey team in the past)
Wigan (See Reading)

I used to go watch Harwich and Parkeston as a nipper, so will always have a soft spot for them, and for that reason, I really fuckin dislike Clacton FC, who were their big rivals.

I saw Harwich and Parkeston play West Ham back in 68, when they turned on the floodlights for the first time. Got Brian Dear's autograph, but Geoff Hurst was a miserable bastard and would give 8-year-old me his moniker.

Re: Lower division clubs you like and dislike
Some of these are rational, some irrational

Like:

Blackburn- cousin's team and they beat Liverpool. Good kit
Coventry- beat spurs and they've really been through it
Ipswich
Norwich
Saints- best mate supports them
Sunderland
Blackpool
Cambridge- lived there
Charlton- One Grandad supported them
AFC Wimbledon- great story
Bradford- lived there

Dislike: (a fair few will be because we were shit against them at various times or they played shit football)

Birmingham
Leeds
Leicester
Wall- obvs
Preston
Sheffield Wednesday- a kid I hated at school liked them
Stoke
Swansea
Bolton
Orient (spurs thing)
Reading
Salford- artificial club funded by hypocrite cunts
Wigan

It's probably poor character on my part but I do enjoy the schadenfreude of looking at that dislike list thinking about where some of those clubs are currently languishing.

A year ago I'd have put Wrexham in the 'Like' column as the story was fun and I really like the two owners. However they could become a 'dislike' considering all the fawning and A listers showing up there for a photo op in that fucking pub. Slightly nauseating.
